Sunday, August 2, 2009 Y 4:05 PM All thanks to my niece, my lappy went straight down the floor from my table, she accidentally pulled the wire that is connected to my lappy and "BANG"...there goes my lappy on the floor... Lucky there is no problem with the screen, but there is some hard disk problem, so I have to sent it to Acer for repair. My dear off on thursday, so we bring the lappy and my desktop to the Acer service center at Jurong(very far). After we send in both the "sick" computer, we walked back to MRT station, walk dao half way my slipper "DUAN" le...oh my god...there is still a long way to go before we get to the station. No choice, I have to walk like a cripple..so sway so sway... Friday afternoon, Acer service center call me, my lappy is ready for collection, they change the entire hard disk for me..n now it work quite fast...hehehe^.^ Monday, June 8, 2009 Y 5:39 PM The Great Wall Of China  Up Up Up... The beijing trip still have lots to show u ppl, but but but..LAZY Wahaha... Am so the wu liao at home... feel like going for a jog, but no motivation.. feel like packing my room, but too lazy.. feel like going out, but too lethargic.. feel like playing game, but find no fun in it.. Tuesday, April 7, 2009 Y 3:55 PM On our half day lesson, faci bought us to "西单" somehow like orchard...many shopping malls.. we went there by train..2RMB train ticket n u can travel as far as u like..unlike Sg tat charge by number of stops.  I forgt where is this stop le, interchange ba i think, but the changing of trains in Beijing is really troublesome, if u r lucky, u dun have to walk so far, but for some interchange, u have to walk quite a long distance jus to get to another train.  Finally after changing 2 or 3 times train, we've reach "西单", this is the shopping mall tat our faci recommend us to go, before that we went to place tat look like Far east plaza(like a lot of place there look like wat we have in Sg hor..) But the place is like very warm n we cannot bargin there, eventually we lost all our mood for shopping..so we headed to the other shopping mall in the pic above.. Same thing, inside look like Paragon..all the branded stuff, again we r bored..Thus we decide to end early n head back to the hostel instead..n we went out to the street on our own...better fun..
Y 3:15 PM Time for walk walk... By chance we found a place tat look like bugis street, we called it "bugis street". Things they selling there is cheap and u can bargin with them, once u tried to walk away after asking the price, they would offer a lower price in order to retain customer and make sure u buy their items. The things there are actually much better den wat we have in bugis street, the kind of item u c there may be selling at 10RMB or 15RMB, which is only $2 or $3 in sg, but the quality is somehow better..(i dun knw y) Look cheap but good. I manage to shop some item out of the street and done a 15RMB manicure before i leave Beijing. HAHAHAHA...!!!  As u can c, the shop behind me is "麻辣汤", n u c ppl standing in front of the store, they r actually eating while standing, they have stick of different food in their spicy soup, u jus nid to choose whatever u wan at 1RMB each, jus like our "Yong Tao Hu". The soup is really spicy n nice..  Ok...2 of my fren, they r so happy tat they found a "臭豆腐" smelly tuo fu, u can c from their face...LOL...The one on the left is HuiFang, she is so lucky tat she ate a piece of original "臭豆腐" which is darker in colour, i think the shop keeper accidentally put it in, n the taste is yucky..but the normal "臭豆腐" taste like "tao pok". I think this store dun knw how to make smelly tuo fu..  The stick tat me n my fren behind holding is the "羊肉串", I hesitated for 2 days before I bought this, cus i dun eat meat other den chicken or pork.To my surprise, their "羊肉串" is really nice with the spices they mixed in n it doesnt have tos lamb smell.  "冰糖湖炉" we bought the "山楂" flavour n it taste very nice, this store there have removed the all the seed inside thus we can eat with ease, but another store we bought this from did not remove tos seed, and we were struggling to get rid of all the seedssssssss...(many many seeds) Look like big feast right? Is one of our dinner at "东北虎" with another group from the trip, they invite us to join them for dinner. The 4 tub of rice u c here is very nice, small bucket, the egg with tomato soup, pig ear, pork ribs..all taste quite nice, the whole dinner only cost us 300plus RMB, shared by 11 people.Cheap n nice dinner..
 This is on the street opposite the campus. The cart of fruits in the picture has strawberries, mandarine oranges, small small mangos n other fruits, almost the whole street is filled with all this carts..n still some other carts selling "羊肉串", "烤地瓜"....This is on the streets that we are allow to go on our own, further den walking distance we would nid our faci to bring us. Monday, April 6, 2009 Y 3:32 PM This is Beijing University Main campus  There is a museum there housing history of all about Beijing University. The nice scenery of the campus..n it is very big de hor..We were told that this place atually belong to a corrupt official in the past, He Shen何申, he has corrupt so much money that he could build such a nice place as his home, but in the end this place end up as the main campus of Beijing University. They also house the largest library图书馆 in Beijing, a man made pond湖, n a tower塔.. Together the 3 made up the name 一塔湖图....Which sounds like一塌糊涂....  Nice scenery in the campus.  Photos of me..^.^The visit to the campus was a great experience, turning a palace from the past into a modern campus was indeed what we wont have in Singapore(we dun have palace here), and the campus is so big, we need a few hours to finish the whole campus, but in the end the whole group is walking so slow becus of all the scenery..we jus manage to cover the important part of the whole campus. Very tired blogging already, spent hours in front of my lappy le.. To be continue.... Y 2:17 PM This is my first ever oversea trip to place tat is further den Malaysia.. The 2nd day afternoon, faci say can eat on our own ouside the campus, so we went out n have KFC..The KFC there is quite expensive. Along the way we saw very fresh strawberries n some other intersting food tat we wont get to c in Singapore.  This is the lecture hall where every student sit in for lecture.. Jus look at the kind of hall they r having n compare it wit ours, its really a big difference, but the kind of knowledge they have is much better den wat we expect..  This is the library in 北京大学医学部 All the lectures is in chinese..n the content is full of scienctific terms, able to catch abit only. Everything on the table belongs to 1 patient, the 1st round bottle on the left is a baby.The patient has a kidney transplant, but due to rejection after the operation, he start to have fugus infection and eventually all the organs in his body is being infected and tumors start to grow all over. In the end, he end up having all the organs on the table..(scary de la)  This is in 北医三院, pathology department.They are responsible for testing on the samples taken from the patient and dignose the actual problem for the patient, they have to be fast n precise. On the day that we visit, there is one patient's stomach laying on the chopping board like thing, look like the meat that our mummy jus bought from the market. When we get close to the stomach, we can actually feel the body temperature, cus the stomach has jus been removed from the patient body. The very bottom shows both looking into the same microscope(is actually connected together), both of them would double confirm with each other about the case n dignose the problem in jus 15seconds.(really fast) They can actually know whr the cell come from n know the problem almost immediately once the slide goes under the microscope.  This is the basement sample room, where they kept some of the samples taken from the patient and use it as a teaching material for their student.(a lot more not taken in the picture)To be continued... I am so the lazy to blog leh, log in already, but dun have the feeling to blog.. But I have to act and write something here now... hahahaha..Last 2 months was normal, chinese new year get quite a lot of ang bao, having holiday till april, had a very sweet valentine's day, and nothing better to do.
